David Drew MP welcomed people to join him for his regular Pub Politics session which took place in the Old Spot in Dursley on Friday.

“It’s a chance to talk about issues in a informal setting,” said Mr Drew. “Of course, Brexit and especially worries about the impact of No Deal dominated much of the discussion. I share those concerns and am working with colleagues to get No Deal off the table. I’ve been talking to businesses across Stroud and while there is a variety of views on Brexit, they all say the cliffe edge of No Deal would be a disaster.

“I was pleased that we discussed some of the other issues which also have a real impact on people’s lives, such as access to transport and health services.

“Thank you to everyone who came along, and The Old Spot Inn for a warm welcome.”

David’s next open event will be at the Subscription Rooms Café in Stroud on Monday 14 October at 10am. His caseworkers are bringing their mobile surgery to Berkeley Town Hall on Thursday 31 October 1.30pm to 3pm.
