School funding crisis: Share your views with David Drew MP ahead of parliamentary debate
Schools across Gloucestershire are facing a funding crisis. Headteachers of primary, secondary and special schools are all telling me that budgets are stretched to breaking point.
Support for children with additional needs is also in crisis, with the overspend now at £4.7 million.
So I’ve requested a Parliamentary debate on the state of school funding in Gloucestershire, which receives poorer funding than many other areas.
The debate is in Westminster Hall on Wednesday 30 January.
Ahead of that debate, I’d like to know how school funding issues in Gloucestershire have affected you and your children. Please fill in this form to share your experience.
Please note names and other details will remain confidential, although I may use some of your experiences to inform my speech and the debate in the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday. My team will contact you in advance if this is the case.
If you’d like to keep informed about our campaign for better funding for Gloucestershire schools, then subscribe to my regular newsletter which will provide updates.
