"Why I'm backing Trevor for Dursley"

David Drew has given his backing to Trevor Hall, who has been selected as Labour’s candidate for next month’s by-election in Dursley. He has also paid tribute to the work done by Labour district councillor Alison Hayward who will be standing down.

Trevor Hall hopes to be elected to Stroud District Council as the new councillor to represent Dursley.

Trevor, who has lived in Dursley and Cam all his life, formerly worked at Lister’s and Cam Mills.

David Drew MP said:

“I’ve known Trevor for decades as both a trade unionist and local champion.  He will make a great district councillor, representing the area he has lived and worked in all his life.  It’s sad to lose Alison who worked her socks off for the area but Trevor will be a great addition to our Labour team.”

Trevor hopes to succeed Alison Hayward, who resigned last week because she is moving away from the area.
