As MP for the Stroud constituency, part of my role is to help residents in the constituency with issues relating to the government.

My small caseworking team in the Stroud office can assist with problems and queries on a wide variety of matters, usually relating to government departments such as:

  • Department for Work and Pensions (such as benefits and state pensions)

  • Revenue and Customs (including tax and tax credits)

  • Home Office (such as immigration cases)

  • Defra (such as environmental issues and flooding)

If we're not able to help, my office will assist in finding the most appropriate person or organisation to contact. We can only assist residents in the Stroud constituency and cannot assist with planning applications.

If your issue relates to Stroud District Council or Gloucestershire County Council, please contact their offices or your district or county councillor in the first instance.

You can find your district councillor here and your county councillor here.

Caseworkers also hold regular ‘mobile surgeries’

These drop-in events are open to all constituents and are held at venues around the constituency, fortnightly on Thursdays from 1.30pm to 3pm.

The latest dates are:

  • Thursday 2 May, The Cadet Hut, Old Bisley Road, Stroud

  • Thursday 16 May, The Tudor Arms, Slimbridge

  • Thursday 30 May, Maypole Community Centre, Paganhill

If you would like to contact the caseworking team fill in the form below with a brief outline of the issue or write to me or email
